personally, I hate the time change. I don't like getting up in the dark and coming home in the dark

28. indeed
but probably went off when she was cooking and she just got it to stop and forgot to mention it to me.

at least I'll give her the benefit of the doubt on that one.

3. Whoa! Thanks for the reminder.
I'd have felt fairly stupid getting to work at 5AM and discovering it was actually 4AM. :hi:

6. I hate it, too
Standard time gives me more of a morning and I am not a morning person.

I'd be thrilled to have DST year round.

If parents blow a gasket about kiddies going to school in the dark, let the damn schools start an hour later. The teenagers would really appreciate it.

10. Neither does Hawai'i but now
it's only 5 hours difference between here in New York and Kaua'i where my son is.

I like the time change tomorrow bc I feel I can have extra sleep.:)

13. The problem for us is we have to adjust to everyone else's changes
We'll now be 2 hours behind the east coast instead of 3. All of the cable tv shows are now an hour ahead. It can be hard to keep track of the changes.

Enjoy the extra hour of sleep! :)

16. In the Phoenix area, all of the network shows stay at the same time.

When the time changes elsewhere, I always miss Keith and Rachel the first couple of weeks because I forget about the change!

23. I know, me too. (Glad that KO is on twice. haha)
I have to remember when trying to call my east coast relatives that we are now only 2 hrs diff.

The worst is the spring when they forget it's 3 hours earlier here and call me like at 6am to "chat". Right.

17. Yeah, I realized that last week when I flew to KC, MO.
When I first turned my phone on after landing, it still had Pacific Time. But as soon as it picked up the 3G signal, it self adjusted. Nice.

22. My old cell phone used to adjust, but I don't think my Blackberry will
The BlackBerry doesn't pick up time zone changes when I travel; I have to set it for the new time zone. It's aggravating. I'm not sure if it will automatically adjust for the end of DST.

19. I'm from Arizona, but now live in Oregon.
I thinks it's glacially stupid, and does nothing... if it saves so much energy, why don't we do more hours forward and back? Hey, maybe if we went "forward" or "back" in time by years (instead of hours), it would "save" that much more?

I was glad they didn't do it there either. Though that was years ago, I don't know if Arizona does it now.

25. DST is folly. It's mid-day when it's mid-day, not when the government says it is.
(A repost from an old thread on the same subject).
