I thought CNN was liberal (at least that's what the wingnuts keep saying)
Today:

CNN's "State of the Union" - House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio; Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss.

And on Christianne Amanpour, PNACer Zalmay Khalilzad is one of the guests.

*sigh*

1. once anderson cooper went there and his tune changed from his
good reporting on New Orleans - I knew for sure they were very right wing - he now helps cover up stuff instead of his honest reporting that he did during Katrina

10. Anderson Cooper should come out of the closet

I'd respect his reporting more if he did.

Otherwise you compromise your ethics.

16. As far as I can tell it's not about left/right. Anyone who
...disagrees with the current necon alternative reality, is a "liberal".

3. CNN was never liberal,
although it used to be pretty centrist when Ted Turner was still running it.

These days it isn't really any less biased than Fox, although it is a more subtle form of bias.

4. CNN made a sharp right turn about a decade ago
in response to them losing RW viewers to Fox (they were the Clinton News Network, after all), the head honchos at CNN met with top Republicans in Congress on how to win them back... so, CNN has been decidedly RW since then and has been shedding viewers ever since. The RWers still didn't trust them because they weren't gung-ho for impeachment in the 90s, but then they pissed off the liberals by taking the sharp right turn... and now, they have no viewers left.

5. And they've obviously told old Lou to step it up, Beck-style
Beck got his start on TV at CNN after all!

But all it's done is garnered them last-place ratings now between the 3 cable news networks.

6. Because they still live in the past when Turner owned it.
Anything said at any given time by the liars they follow becomes a tenant of their religion.

7. Yep, they've definitely jumped the shark.
This should be clear to anyone watching in the early morning when it was announced that Obama had won the Nobel Peace Prize. I couldn't believe that smirking asshole.

I never watch Faux except to watch wingnut heads explode, like when Obama won the election. And lately I don't atch CNN much but if I do I have my hand on the clicker.

8. They had some guy on this morning...
...who said that if unemployed people want to find a job, they should just move to a state where the job market is better. Sure, just like that, we're going to pack up to a place in hopes that we'll get a job there. You first, asshole. Talk about a total detachment from reality.

9. That's actually what I did but I had several things working for me
I'd been unemployed for 2 1/2 months but landed a contract job that ended up lasting 2 weeks as I finally found a job here in Florida. I got help from family and friends to cover airfare for my interviews down here and got lucky that my Dad was at his timeshare condo during the first two weeks of my job here so I stayed with him and did the 1-hr commute (he helped me fill my gas tank for those two weeks)

Finally got the money from that prior contract job and was able to finally support myself.

Pretty damned lucky, eh?

But I guess that creep on CNN thinks that was a piece of cake and EVERYONE should be able to do that!

17. I had a conversation with a former CNN newswriter 6 years ago
at my H.S. reunion (our class and the one before us combined, and hadn't known this guy before). He no longer worked for CNN by then ( had left fairly recently), but he confirmed that they submitted all copy to go out over the air, to basically a political commissar who made sure there was a pro-corporate slant to everything that did get broadcast. I can only assume that it's even more blatant there now.
