They have to cover something other than war. War makes Americans squeamish and the networks have been given the orders not to make America squeamish.
Frightened is good, squeamish is bad

3. I thought they would let up on it today. I was wrong.
Even the horrific new violence in surge-protected Baghdad couldn't get through. This story is absolutely impervious to being interrupted by anything.

I assume there will be no coverage of the Gonzales testimony tomorrow, in order to make room for 24 hours of "Breaking News" about the shootings.

They're allowing one dead wacko to control the media content for an entire nation. How sad.
