FAULT. Never mind that the employer doesn't offer it, or you can't get it because of pre-existing condition(s).

When the Republican loses his/her insurance, or his/her kids or grandkids lose theirs, they'll think differently...

Just thought I'd throw this in for lurking Republicans. :hi:

My boss asked me why I quit and I told him.

4. They lack empathy
The only way a die-hard Republican will change his ways is when it happens to him personally.

5. Like I always say, Repukes are only repukes until they lose their jobs.
then they have no problem with using the various government services.

Some, at that point, will see the light, others will bitch and complain right up to the unemployment window. But god help them to turn it down.

The same goes with health care, they are all in ones face about the "losers" in society who don't have health care, but when suddenly faced with the same problem, they are all for national health care.

So my solution? fire all repukes. LOL

6. my brother is in this boat. not losing insurance, but changing what they offer.
i have written a couple of posts about this recently... my husband and my brother and brother in law all work for the same company. the company just got rid of any decent insurance they had available and now only offer high deductible insurance. So my brother who had independent health i am sure will be stuck with crappy insurance... this was enough to make him sign the union card and send it in after he had previously refused to have any part of any union that supports obama. He had said he would just go sign up under his wife's insurance.... but her insurance would be over $300 a pay period.... so there are no good choices here.

I must admit, part of me wants to rub it in my brother's face.... but his wife has asthma and so does his son. And also, he is not the only one being hurt by this change... So are WE!!! and we make too much for family health plus. I just called to see if we could reapply when bob DOESN'T have the overtime in the check... he doesn't get a lot of overtime... but we would just be under the amount to qualify with his base salary. the lady sounded like somehow i was trying to game the system.... no i am not.... How can i continue treating my depression when we have a $500 deductible before they even pay a dime!! I swear at this point I figure maybe I'll just go buy a big insurance policy on myself instead of paying for insurance and then if I get sick i will just die and my husband will be able to afford to live.
