1st I've seen of it today..because some freepers were lamenting the fact that it isn't getting wide spread coverage in the "LMSM" (yada yada)

Feinstein Resigns
Senator exits MILCON following Metro exposé, vet-care scandal

SEN. Dianne Feinstein has resigned from the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee. As previously and extensively reviewed in these pages, Feinstein was chairperson and ranking member of MILCON for six years, during which time she had a conflict of interest due to her husband Richard C. Blum's ownership of two major defense contractors, who were awarded billions of dollars for military construction projects approved by Feinstein.

3. Not a gotcha at all. It was a conflict, she resigned and should have done so eariler
"1st I've seen of it today..because some freepers were lamenting the fact that it isn't getting wide spread coverage in the "LMSM""

Why(directed at freepers)? Because so called conservative new outlets don't want to bring up cozy relationships with defense industries because as opposed to just a conflict of interest in Feinstein's case Republicans accept BRIBES!

4. If so, it is most deservedly appropriate. There would seem to be a
conflict of interest. Perhaps it was less severe when the Republicans had appropriations control, but the fact is, we cannot reform the MIC if we have people in government positions who have a financial interest in the outcome. Our Democratic leadership needs to evaluate all members sitting on committees and understand if there are conflicts like this. We have to do it or this Party is no better than the Syndicate currently in power.

5. Now you see why she is criticised by her constituents?
There has been plenty of criticism of Difi in California.

6. What I like about Dianne is that she can change
her mind and work like crazy for something she once opposed when shown the error of her ways.

In the past I have written her about her conflict of interest because of her husband's position with Bechtel, so I am glad to see that she has stepped down from that committee.
