Kitty Carslile Hart Has passed Away
I am so sad! 96 is a ripe age but I was hoping she would have made it to 100!!!

14. Her last appearance on the show was in 2002!
There are several generations who know her from that show.

Carlisle became a household name through To Tell the Truth, where she was a regular panelist for some 20 years, appearing on each version from 1956 to 2002.

# What's My Line? - Guest panelist on both the CBS and the syndicated versions

15. I thought it was funny
and even as a kid I knew when the grown-ups were saying something somewhat naughty. I used to watch it with my mom. My suspicions on the naughty factor was when mom would start laughing but couldn't explain why.

3. Apparently
she died in her sleep. This woman had so much class! Atleast she is with her beloved Moss Hart.

7. I didn't know until recently Vonnegut was Katharine Hepburn's neighbor...
I was curious why he showed up to some events in her honor.

Boy, put Vonnegut, Hepburn and Kitty C in a room and you've got a revolution, with pearls and perfect grammar...

4. I remember her on a few game shows in my youth. What a long life,
even if she didn't make it to 100. RIP, Ms. Carlile.

8. Total class act, all the way!
A few months ago I had seen an interview with her and she looked and sounded amazing. I was a big fan from her game show days -- she always looked so well out out, very classy.

Glad to hear she passed in her sleep -- a nice end for such a great lady.

9. What a great lady (I mean that in the absolute best sense of the word).
RIP. Ms. Carlisle.

I (just barely) remember her from "To Tell the Truth" and the Marx Bros. films.

13. I know some Kitty Carlisle gossip--
A couple of years ago I was at a restaurant and the Professor from Gilligan's Island (Russell Johnson) was at the table behind me talking about being on a game show with Kitty and that afterwords, off camera, she made a pass at him. Not sure it's true or if the ol' Professor was just making stuff up to impress his dinner guests!

19. She was indeed a great lady.
Loved what her relatives said about her...like she were a show herself: "She had a good run."
