Bush Vs. Clinton Debate Called Off
Couldn't resist posting this delicious article from Gothamist

http://gothamist.com/2009/11/04/bush_vs_clinton_debate_called_off.php

As quickly as you can say nuke-yu-ler, the hotly anticipated debate between George W. Bush and Bill Clinton has been called off! At first we assumed it was because when Bush agreed to the debate, he thought he'd be going up against George Clinton, the brain-fried frontman for Parliament-Funkadelic, not Bill Clinton, world-renowned master debater. But turns out, it's Clinton who's withdrawn.

Clinton spokesman Matt McKenna insists the former presidents never agreed to a "debate"—what they'd signed up for was a breezy moderated panel discussion, like the one between their cronies Carville and Rove in May. McKenna tells the Post, "This event ... was supposed to be a discussion between the two former presidents, and has been canceled because it was not being billed as such by an overeager promoter." Okay, fine, so it's not a "debate!" Why pull the plug on the whole thing? Can't we still watch these two "discuss" how Bush burned through America's $2.2 trillion surplus and left us living in a Mad Max-style tent city?

1. I so would have liked seeing Clinton do to Bush what he did to Chris Wallace.
(Put his index finger right in Wallace's face and let him have it. Sorry no link.)

2. Aren't they a little too buddy-buddy for that?
I certainly wouldn't have expected it, anyway.

4. I was so looking foward to hearing those primitive grunts again
Those "unnnhhhs", "ummmms", "eeeks", "ooooks", clicks, chest pounds, and watching his head bob up and down on his neck as it pans the room from left to right. I'm talking about going back to those nostalgic bygone days when turning on the TV in the morning was like waking up at the zoo.

7. nothing like a breezy conversation
with a war criminal. No words can describe the revulsion I feel for Clinton. How the hell could he agree to this?
