Cho's SuiteMate in College never saw any sign of what he did...and
Edited on Wed Apr-18-07 04:49 PM by KoKo01
he just thought he was a lonely guy. He wouldn't have even known his SuiteMate's name if the Resident Advisor hadn't posted it on their door! :eyes:

Guy goes on to express he NEVER saw any sign of this and this guy LIVED with HIM...granted he was a Suite Mate...but OMG times must have changed since I was in college where we Suite Mates were constantly involved with each other. That's a while back but I find it hard to believe that College kids today are so isolated that they wouldn't have a "sense" of the lifestyle of those they live in an adjoining room with.

There's just something very wrong with this whole thing. Something we don't know that's hidden behind the reporting.

1. Well, they did take him out drinking-- but it didn't go well
He creeped them out and they didn't ever do anything with him again. Makes sense to me.

3. the guy didnt even know his major and he had roomed with him since August
I think that everyone needs to take their ipod out of their ears, look up from their laptop, and see what's going on around them. This shows how isolated everyone is becoming these days. Not just psycho murderers, but the average students around them. This is frightening.

4. we can try and come up with a host of reasons but sometimes
you just can't...

Today we celebrate the idea of individualism...it used to be that if you weren't part of the lemming pool...you were a freak for trying to stand out..

So if from this fellow's perspective...Cho was just a "lonely guy"...than perhaps people gave him too much space ...and in the end his own imposed isolation became a reality...and colleges are where people are trying to sort things out before they are forced to "grow up" and so sometimes people don't really notice others in those situations.

I don't know that we will ever know what precipitated Cho's actions or behaviors...but it is a tragedy for the victims and for Cho's family.

6. Some just use the dorm
only as a place to sleep and maybe study. I have a friend who has 5 suitemates and only stays in the dorm on certain occasions. The school requires that he live on campus, but his parents have a condo here and he lives there instead. When we hang out, he rarely mentions his roommates, and last time I we went to his dorm, it was only for a brief moment to drop something off and leave.

It's possible to live in your own world completely absent from your roommates.

7. Can we say the normal "room-mate"? The TYPE of dwelling doesn't matter, and it sounds like "sweet".

11. No...because a Suite is a "TWO Room" usually bigger rooms with 4 to a block
but in older dorms the FOUR share a bathroom where one comes into "intimate contact" with one's fellow Suite Mates. I don't know the dorm Cho was is and whether it was "adjoining rooms" as in a Suite where they shared bathrooms or if they adjoin the rooms and have two baths...but given what I know about College Administrations Tight Budgets...I would think that it was a situation where TWO LARGE ROOMS share BATH to save space and have more privacy because each room is bigger than a SINGLE.

Cho's SuiteMate seemed to verify that on Matthews saying he chose a Suite for a bigger room.

As a Female ...maybe sharing a bath is more intimate that I got to know the two girls who shared the other room...and maybe it's different with guys who don't do the "personal hygiene" that females do...but STILL...NOT TO KNOW YOUR SUITE MATE? Yet...Matthews asked the guy if Cho typed on his Computer in ENGLISH ...and the Suite Mate who said "I didn't know his name" said: "yes, he typed in English."

VERY WEIRD!

8. It seems like Cho was in need of some friends and social....
interaction. They were suite mates and he didn't even know Cho's name until it was posted on the door. Did anyone bother to ask his name?

9. People Need Their Space
There are a bunch of things playing out here I suspected and sadly the story of a very lonely and alienated person is coming to light. This combines the cultural differences of his upbringing that is very social, very clanish and regimented vs. the "western" culture where anything goes...but predominately if you're white. I suspect we'll find out how he felt he had been a victim of all type of injustices...real and imagined...that taking out for a beer wouldn't have cured. The people who could have noticed a problem were long in his past by the time Cho walked onto the VT campus.

I think we've all met loners in our lives...people who keep to themselves. Some may seem creepy, others just strange. Add to this the fact he not only looked different, but it appears he spoke differently, when he did at all...adding to a further alienation. While these people lived near him, they didn't live with him...honestly I couldn't tell you what my roomates' major was (primarily cause he never went to class).

12. NBC has Cheney Pal "reporter" Pete Williams alluding to Ishmael before they SHOW VIDEO from Cho!
Pete (Cheney) Williams is the "correspondent of choice" shows a CHO sounding like Islamic Terrorist in broken English...where he rants and raves and reminds "Americans" of 9/11 and Pete and Brian are sucking up to this and going into PDF File Jargon saying he "maybe could have recorded this BEFORE he did the Murders.

Now they bring in Cliff Van Zandt their Pundit FBI Reporter who is saying that...in essense that Cho was "Ultimate Victim GRABBING OUT FROM THE GRAVE!" Williams says "these people have Narcissitic problem..and Van Zant says Narcissitic Injury and we are looking for the "playing out of this behavior or thei Narcissitic Behavior as to his PROFILE.

Williams thanks him and moves on about the School's Responce.

Although we know that CHO wa recommended to a Psychiatric Facility because of his Behavior. FEMALES COMPLAINED FOR YEARS ABOUT HIM!

Yet..no one "knew him." Cho was "HOSPITALIZED" (new revelation) and allowed to go out and continue what he was doing..BUT this is from NBC CORRUPT CORRESPONDENT who HATED CLINTON...Lisa Meyers!

Brian Williams finally goes onto the VICTORY OF BUSH SUPREMES AGAINST ABORTION!

WOW...NBC lays it ALL OUT!

13. Williams Is A Corporate Tool
I saw the coverage and the inuendos are always near the surface with Williams. He got on my shitlist a decade ago when he would always refer to our last truly elected President as "this president" during the Lewinski mess as if he didn't want any association. It sickened me then and wised me up to not only his right wing bend but the overall game Welch was playing with the network in the gusie of advancing Williams, Russert and Tweety into major roles.

I can rarely stomache Williams but video pickings right now are slim. There's Bowtie Boy and his rancid rantings on MSNBC and the Lou Doobies Xenophobia Hour just isn't on my palate tonight.

Ironallically...in watching the video I didn't see Al Queda here, but the "Gomer Pyle" character...Leonard...the marine that goes nuts in Full Metal Jacket.
