I don't know about y'all, but I feel absolutely nauseous right now.
I was channel surfing and the great "uprising" of the Teabagger Brigades is being covered like there is blood running in the streets of every city and town of the nation. Legislators spinning themselves into the ground trying to justify any ridiculous question posited and saying nothing. I come here for respite and find venom running everywhere. Spiteful and directionless castigation of any attempt to move forward. Now I don't agree with everything going on in DC, but I do know that we need to get a foot in the door because continuing with the status quo will mean certain death and needless chronic health problems for millions. Nothing is not an option.

Teabagger roadbumps. Congressional roadblocks. Senate roadblocks. DU roadblocks. An effin' roadblock is an effin' roadblock.

1. Go to Twitter
and plug in #cnnprotest.

You'll feel one hell of a lot better, guaranteed.

5. How do I post to it.
I have a Twitter account but never use it because I can't figure out how to enter messages to specific lists.

9. Harr. This was my second tweet.
I copied the message below into the "What are you doing?" text box & clicked enter.

@cnnbrk We want the public option! Look at the polls! Tell your audience what the American people want. #cnnprotest

Here's another one to Rick Sanchez:

@ricksanchezcnn We want the public option! Look at the polls! Tell your audience what the American people want. #cnnprotest

I signed up months ago, sent one test tweet & that was it.

3. Drama draws in viewers. Doesn't matter if it's false and dangerous. It makes money.

13. no. it's about confusing the public, not about making money.
the media = oligopolistic.

they frame the issue: teabaggers v. radical left. no other positions discussed.

it doesn't matter which "side" you take. their interest is that you believe in the reality of this phony binary. thus other ideas become, literally, "unthinkable," because they've built a structure of background assumptions that don't support other constructions.

it's orwell come to life.

4. Media coverage....
Anti-bank protest in Chicago: No coverage
Gay rights march in Washington: No coverage
Huge anti-war protests in 2003: No coverage

A dozen morons with "Obama = Hitler" signs: 24 hour a day coverage on all channels.

It's corporate propaganda, not "news".

6. You are so right....
Willfully ignorant people watching Fox, etc. will always be around. It's simply not worth getting upset over. I finally got to the 'Acceptance' stage of this.

7. Not much progress will be made while Big Media is still intact
When we do what needs to be done on that front, the dialog will change quickly.
