Is it just me, or does Chris Matthews seem desperate to pin the VT shooting on violent movies?
Just before 6 PM EDT, he was analyzing one of the pictures received by NBC, and he seemed determined to place all the blame for this sad incident on violent films. Anybody else notice that?
He said it was a headband that obviously had some significance or death meaning. Hello its a damn baseball cap turned backwards Tweety. Its a damn disturbing image.
I've heard them ginning this up as a possible scapegoat. Contessa Brewer was commenting today on MSNBC how Cho was a regular player of the "mega-violent" (her words) video game "Counterstrike".
6. Why the "videogames/movies/etc. did it" argument makes no sense
The kids who do these things may be fucked in the head but they are not stupid. No one is going to go to the trouble to plan a massacre and throw their lives away just because "this looks fun in a game I'll bet it's even funner in reality." For someone to do that, they have to be so angry and depressed that they feel like they have nothing to lose anymore.
