well, I sent a note to Senator Saxby Chambliss re: his vote on negotiating
medicare drug prices. I hope it prompts all of you to do the same!

You must really NOT like your job Sir! It's gotten to the point where I don't even have to check the votes to see how you voted! I guess it's really nice to have all the money YOU have so you don't have to worry about how much it's going to cost if YOU have some emergency illness, or some long term ailment aflicts you or your wife.

Well, that's OK Sir. You see, you don't have to bother checking to see how I voted after the next election either, because I'll tell you NOW. I don't even know who your opponent is going to be, but who ever it is, they already have MY VOTE! They might not be a better Senator than you are, but they sure can't be any worse in representing me!

1. Hi napi,
I share Saxby, but I have long ago given up wasting the money to write him. I only get back the same canned letter that indicates they don't have a clue what I've said.

Maybe someday (sigh). Always nice to "meet" another blue Georgian. :hi:

3. Chambliss is a real dud. I have to say I feel for you, having
such a laconic maroon for one of your Senators...:(

2. Is there anyone who can topple him next year?
Has there been talk about any candidates who will challenge him and hopefully beat him? It's disgusting the way he slimed his way into that Senate seat. He needs to go!

5. It is indeed , but there is no hope at this time.
I'm seeing more people who are "getting it", but surely no where near enough to topple him. sigh. Some day....We do appreciate the Blue support for those of us in very red trenches.

11. I feel for you guys.
To go from Max Cleland to this scumbag is depressing.

I hope someone strong will emerge. I'll even donate what little cash I can to his/her campaign. He must be defeated.

10. I haven't heard of anyone considering running against him. I'll
drop a note to my Dem local leaders and ask. I sure hope someone will! I detest this man AND his cohort in crime Isakson, but Isakson won't be up for reelection until 2010.

12. Here's to hope.
I would imagine that there must be some prominent Democrat willing to run against that sleaze-ball. I have relatives who live outside of Atlanta and I got first hand reports of the nasty smear campaign against Cleland. Nothing but disgusting!

4. California Senators
I don't yet know how Boxer and Feinstein voted. If they voted against it, I'll be sending them a letter as well.

9. "Bum Knee" Saxby
When asked whether he had served in Vietnam ( in a debate before he was elected), I heard him give a long-winded statement that had little to do with the question. When he finished obfuscating he added that he was unable to serve in Vietnam because he had a "bum knee."

Bum Knee Saxby---it has a nice, sort of hollow ring.
