Will Kucinich give up his insurance until single payer is passed?

If he is going to make the uninsured wait for relief until single payer is passed, then he should wait with them.

1. Here we go again with another slur against Kucinch. I ask you to tell us why you

think he didn't acot out of principle as you infer in the slur.

Did his vote cause the bill to fail?

Any slurs for Blue Dogs?

3. Wouldn't the principled thing to do be going uninsured until single payer is passed?
He wants the uninsured to wait until single payer is passed. Why shouldn't he also wait? What makes him special?

9. Do you want hungry people fed?
How about going on a hunger strike until it happens? What, don't you care about starving people enough to do it?

10. DK didn't VOTE AGAINST a bill that would feed people.
So that is a pretty stupid analogy.

12. He didn't stop it from being passed either.
So the analogy is only as stupid as the original criticism, which frankly makes no sense.

14. Nice try. He actually said he would have single handedly stopped it if it came to that.
"Would you have changed your vote if yours was the deciding tally?

"No," said Kucinich. He then added cryptically: "I could've been, but that would've been up to the White House." Kucinich is pushing for inclusion of an amendment that would allow individual states to implement single-payer health care without being sued by insurance companies.

15. Nice try what? What did I say that was wrong? Did he stop it from being passed
or not? I said nothing about 'if it came to that' or any of the other imaginary things you're arguing with yourself about.

16. I guess you are calling him a liar. He explicitly said he would have killed it if he could.
That's what voting "no" if you are the deciding vote means.

Either what he said is true (indicating he would kill it, not withstanding your bullshit about this somehow being a different argument), or what he said is false (indicating he is a liar).

seriously, except for a bunch of DUers.

5. I'm sure he would if it meant single payer would be passed.
Now, let's ask your Milquetoast Corporate Whore Democrats. Would they be willing to trade THEIR insurance for this piece of shit Health Care "Reform" version?

8. But if single payer can't pass, shouldn't he vote for HCR to help the millions of uninsured?
Either he is voting against this to get something better (in which case he should wait until he gets something better enacted), or he is voting against this to prevent the uninsured from getting insured.

13. The exchange in the House bill is a mirror of the FEHBP
(the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program). Both provide a menu of private choices that people can pick from. So yes. They not only would -- they voted on it.

25. this is like the right wing talking point on alternative energy--anyone who drives a gasoline
vehicle is a hypocrite, just as Al Gore is a hypocrite for having a big house.
