Massive protest at San Diego Planned Parenthood.

1075 Camino del Rio South. I've been there many times for many different reasons.

I live in South Park. There is no Planned Parenthood facility in the 'hood.

They're part of the Family Health Centers of San Diego, community health clinics specializing in low income/no insurance population.
They have a wide range of services, especially HIV, Addictions, Woman's and Children's health, and even though they don't mention "abortion" by name, they include Family Planning services for women and Pregnancy Prevention for teens at their site.
They take state funds, so they probably also take federal funds.
I'm thinking someone decided that this would be a good place to support the Stupid -err - Stupak ammendment by "exposing" and shutting down the evil Family Planning baby killing mill that is taking federal funds for community health purposes.

I checked "the google", and there are about 9 clinics and "express offices" that don't do much more than counseling or check-ups/doctor visits. However, they might have a partner office at the Family clinic facility (which is a few blocks from Mosaic, as is a veterinary clinic that does low cost spay and neuter). The anti-choice rabble might have mistook "Family Clinic" with "Family Planning" which must be the same as "Planned Parenthood", itself a librul code word for "Killing Babies", doncha know... (sigh)

The PP on University is in City Heights nearer to Fairmont, nowhere near South Park. I'll just look for the signs.

BTW, was North Park inundated by the JW's or some other sort of Evangelical/Pentecostal group last Saturday? We had a couple of men in suits with bibles (their women stayed in their own properly modest group on the street) come to the door, and if we weren't way too busy getting ready for the owner's visit, Laz would have invited them in for a lesson in the logic behind evidence and comparing Religion to Secularist thought.
Two/three days later, some kids came by offering to repaint the street addresses on curbs. Hmmm....

they had moved up 30th into North Park and were holding signs of dead babies in front of a vegetarian restaurant - had no idea what they were doing there LOL (there was also about 5 cops and whole bunch of people shouting at them from the Bluefoot Lounge/Bar right next door)
