Over here watching Obama's visit to China, you know another reason I hate CNN?

Cause they have dumbed us all down with stupid colloquial expressions. Their headline is "China Town Hall meeting." I'm sorry, but it's not a fucking "town hall meeting." The lack of sophistication from that toilet bowl of a news outlet is not just mind blowing, it's ass blowing (As CNN is a pain in the ass.)

I wish that someone would march into CNN's editorial meeting and start slapping people. Morons.

CNN I is a different critter... a very different critter.

Sad I learned more from them when Obama went to Mexico than I could hope to learn from ANY of the US based and meant for internal consumption crap.

I read the foreign press much of the time to find out what's really going on out there. US broadcast news is terrible and the papers aren't much better.

but they had this incredible interview with one of the high level staffers, (the guy in charge of LatAm affairs) about binational relations. It was an interview in Spanish... like the ones we USED to have. I played fast translator to my BIL...

We also saw Marine One... and oy the mess in Polanco...

When we first subscribed to cable, some 27 years ago, CNN was where I would turn to find out what was happening in the world.

Then they brought Headline News which was great. I would have it on while ready to leave the house. If it was the stock market, I knew it was 15 or 45 min after the hour. Sports - 20 or 50 min, etc.

And now all they have are people calling, and sending their ugly mugs to express their opinion. The news are nothing but a tape at the bottom of the screen.

Headline News is now HLN - they have it in the gym when I am on the treadmill - and I don't think that they have more than 10 min news during a half hour period. No stock market. Long promotion for Larry King and Nancy Grace and that woman from the View. Long sob stories by celebrities about the disease of the week. Again and again. Same callers from CNN station.

And you still pay for Cable? And own a TV? WOw... get with the times.
