So now the Radical Rightwing Fringe, (i.e., mainstream Republicans) are pissing and moaning

about trying terrorism defendants in New York City in Federal Courts and housing them in a new maximum security prison in Illinois.

What would we be hearing if Democrats were accusing a Republican President of "endangering the Homeland" ("Sieg---", never mind) by simply trying foreign terrorists in the US (like W. did)? I think it would go something like this:

"Why can't these weak-kneed chickenshit hate-America liberals keep their cowardice to themselves?!? We refuse to cower in the face of terrorism! OF COURSE our people can handle the trial of these murderin' muslims! Let the Democrats who are so afraid of a possible terrorist attack go hide under the bed. The adults are in charge. We'll protect their sorry un-American asses!"

Minus the "murderin' muslims" hyperbole, maybe we should be hanging the same albatross around their necks.

They are terrified of what fair, open AMERICAN style justice might expose.

Of they are just plain terrified to the point of preferring to abolish fair, open AMERICAN style justice, in which case the 'terrorists' have beaten them.

Frankly, I am convinced it is both. The GOP and neocon leaders are dealing with the former and their well conditioned (but seldom thinking) teabager stooges are all wrapped up in the latter. But they, not liberals, not the mass of Americans, are cowards. That much is clear
