Part of their justification is the off year elections. Funny, they don't mention about the house seats we gained

They also infer that poll numbers show that independents are moving toward republicans. I don't buy it

Independents are moving away from BOTH parties if anything, and the much more extremist views of the republicans gives them no advantage, and in fact as the off year elections show, actually hurt them

It doesn't mean that the Democrats are doing a splendid job, but what the republicans are offering, is the same old policies of the bush years or worse, which was massively rejected in 2008

Keep your insights up politico, and you and your MSM associates will have your ass handed to you in 2010

1. If they're moving toward Greens or less crazy versions of moderate Libertarians ...

that just might make some sense?

But also, point well taken: Politico.com was FIRST promoted by Lord PissyPants during one of his few pressers. That's says all one needs to know about the veracity of this RAG.

I'd recommend that President Obama not take his liberal base for granted.

3. Why does that make it a rag?
If you look at the recent elections in Virginia and NJ thats pretty obvious. Sorry to bust your bubble but with the economy still not very good, I would expect a shift to the minority party. Its very predictable.

5. No, I am referring to a lot of their insights in general. It doesn't take rocket
science to know the economy is screwed, and I have my own issues with how the Democrats and the current administration have dealt with it

However, to minimize the party whose philosophical basis drove us there, especially when the previous administration was mostly given a free pass, makes them, and most of the corporate shrills less than credible
