I apologize for yet another Palin thread but I am pissed that the so called news is taken up by this shit.

People hate or love Palin. Most of us are waiting for the implosion, and trying to make sure that her lies and her phony life is exposed.

I think I must email Mrs. Greenspan and inform her that if Mrs. Palin shoots Levi Johnston in the face, that is news. Reporting her every move is not. She needs to read some other news sites like BBC or Democracy Now! to figure out what the real news is. There is so much going on in Afghanistan, in Washington, and in the world like Obama's trip to China that is not being reported.

Other things in real life took priority.

Almost any person, with the numbers she has in the 3 year off race will get attention with a book tour - especially if they include tons of controversial pieces. We have the Presidency, so that attention will go to any colorful Republican. In 2006, it didn't bother most of us as much because few here had the visceral reaction to the Edwards, that we do to Palin - so this seems more.

One thing to think of. This book and Palin herself are getting FAR more negative coverage than either Edward book got. Look at the cover of Newsweek - I can't think of any Democrat being treated with that amount of disdain on the cover. Now, consider that the enormous, about month long basically positive coverage especially of Elizabeth Edwards did not create a big shift in Edwards' ranking vs the others. In Palin's case, the coverage is mixed, but mostly negative.

In addition, how many of the people experienced in running national campaigns will have anything to do with her. Certainly the ones who knew her on the 2008 campaign - who she lied about won't. Think of how many campaign people link to those people from earlier campaigns. I can't imagine that this exposure will end up being positive.

MSNBC is just a 24 hour noise channel like the rest of them. There's only so many car chases and missing kids to show before you have to run with the same shit again.

stupid, insane people there are out there! That lady Doctor who has the show just before Andrea's make a snarky comment just a she went off air. She said something like Andrea is at the Palin book signing and wait till you see the line! She had a sort of disgust in her tone.

In essence, it kills time. This is a 24 hour news network and the Beast needs to be fed.

they only would bother to do it. They only need to recap every few hours for those who missed it. Ted Turner managed to do it. They are limiting information is what they are doing and you wonder why the tea baggers are so uninformed.

They seem to treat her as a joke on Morning Joe whenever they run Palin's interview clips so I'd like to think that they're just getting new material for tomorrow.

As an American news consumer, this is very important to me. Maybe Tweety will tell us today on his show.

It was hilarious. One girl had a t-shirt criticizing the $700 billion bailout but had no idea that Palin supported the bailout during the election. Nora o'donnell corrected the girl but she refused to believe that Palin supported the bailout.

That should be clear by now. Nothing MSNBC does comes as a surprise to me. MSNBC will become more RW over time, maybe to the point of jettisoning Olbermann and Maddow.
