Al Franken is my favorite Senator
Which is a big statement for me because I have long admired, and still do, Russ Feingold. I just completed watching the entire Judiciary Committee Justice Dept oversight hearing and he was brilliant and thorough. He focused on reform of our criminal justice system, all others ignored it. Good job Al!

1. I'm so glad!
You sound like my kinda Dem. I was so hoping Al would turn out to be what so many of us were hoping for. I met him once at a book signing and he was a 'regular' guy, approachable and not full of himself.

2. My worry is that the system seems to eat them up
after they have been there awhile.

I think it takes a special kind of person not to fall victim to the system

7. He's right up there with me. And he did it all with no help from the DNC or Obama Admin. He's
beholden to NO ONE.
