Mooselinni scheduled to be at Books-A-Million ( a discount bookstore) Monday Nov. 23.
Get this...at 7 pm.
Gee, I wonder what time the store closes?
"The line numbers will be distributed Nov. 22" says the local paper.

Be interesting to see if there is a learning curve in Birmingham.

...there are no bookstores here anymore.

Sure, there's A barnes and noble and A booksazillion, but this place (and I guess Birmingham as well) is not populated with large reading communities. We prefer banning books and propping up our mobile homes with them and not reading them.

Flame me for making a stereotype, I dare you. I have lived in a lot of RW places but have never seen a community that revels in its ignorance like NorthEast Florida. Sure, we have a progressive radio station (how we got that I'll never understand), but this place has way more mouthbreathing rednecks than places in rural Northern Georgia and swamp-y Louisiana where I have previously resided.

then fled Mobile for Rural Ala. and if it was not for computers, I would have lost my mind.

Last night I watched the game show Who ....etc..Millionaire, and the 3rd question was

The mouth-breather had to ask the audience for help on that one.
Walked away on the 4th equally "difficult" question.

but hey, with our Congress people proudly standing up in front of live cameras and exhibiting brains in free fall, what can we expect?

Ironically, she has not scheduled a book signing in Alaska. I wonder why.
