I'll go first.

Hubby's June diagnosis of lymphoma was WRONG. Spleen's out, he's fine.

Denial. And clonazepam. They got me through the summer.

We both have jobs. Decent ones.

TG for the health insurance, hassle though it is.

Our major pay cuts have been absorbed (at the expense of saving anything) and our bonus contracts are finally making up some if that income. (Seriously. He was offered a different job at a 32K pay cut, but additional bonus opportunities. My base dropped 16K when I changed industries.) We are 48 & 50 -- our "peak earning years", lol. My point, for middle-class & aspiring middle-class DUers: LIVE BENEATH YOUR MEANS. It'll save your ass when the Republicans are the majority party.

Beanie was the only sophomore cast in the Fall Play. She's amazing. She rocked it!

Loulabelle's been writing music. WELL! She's making good decisions while navigating being 13. A student.

The gals talk to us. No topic's off limits and boy do we have some interesting conversations.

Family's all healthy.

Excellent pets. Best dog in the world and lovely kitties!

Good bosses and great coworkers.

1. Air fare sales to the Caribbean. Golden retrievers. Warm weather. The innertubes.
Not taking drugs to cope.

3. I'm thankful just to be here
No evidence of cancer for 12+ years!

Two children who grew up to be kind, thoughtful, self-sufficient adults.

Husband still has his job.

Even with a 20% pay cut from above mentioned job, still holding our own.

A roof over our heads.

Many, many other things...

5. Our cat, Junior, just had his 21st birthday,
and the vet said that he's got the system of a 10 year-old cat (he's a great comfort to my DH);
My husband is still around even though he's had Type I diabetes for 50 years and is now on SSD;
We managed to unload our too-large house before the bank took it;
I have a secure job with decent health insurance;
My tribe is planning a casino (per-capita I hope I hope!) :)
60% of US citizens think Sarah Palin is unfit to be president (wish it was higher);
We have a president I'm not ashamed of;
I only have a 3-day work week.

There are others and this list isn't necessarily in order of importance...

4. I have some.
I am SO VERY thankful that my 89 y/o Mom w/alz is happy and contented and for the wonderful staff at the facility in which she lives.

My elderly sweet pea kitty is holding up well. She had a bad weekend but before I could trek her to the vet yesterday, she was back to her normal mischief - and still is.;-)

We are not in debt, our family biz is not in debt and has not had to cut staff, schedules or pay rates.

I am thankful for the upbringing I received from my parents. They gave me the values and the education that made me a liberal and a free-thinker.

Good friends, a spouse too wonderful to put into words.

Life is good.
