The Oil Companies Win!

The major oil companies are amazing marketers. They doubled the price of gas which caused everything that used transportation to incur a huge increase in costs. These costs were passed down to the consumer through increased prices for just about everything. Prices of everything rose yet our paychecks did not. Is it really a surprise that so many people can not afford mortgages that they could afford just a few years ago?

Yet, we blame the bankers that lent the money. They are not lily white and are still a part of the problem but, they are not the only factor. Somehow, the big oil companies are now talking about green energy. Marketing themselves as the saviors of our planet. A noble diversion from the havoc they caused our economy.

Exxon saves the world! Think people will buy it? They're betting on it.
