What do y'all know about Michael Smerconish ?
MSNBC is giving him a try-out for the Imus spot. I've never heard the guy but from what I've read about him, he sounds like he'll be one more conservative voice for us to contend with.

I wonder why MSNBC wants another radio show on their airwaves. If you have a visual medium, why wouldn't you want to use, you know, visuals?

I nominate Joe Conason to take over the Imus slot.

15. Like I said, bring in Joe Conason.
Make it a visual show, not a radio show. Or bring in the cream of the crop of broadcasting students, and rotate those crops regularly.

Go for intelligent give 'n take, not insults and hate speech.

They could even bring Phil back. His ratings were climbing when they dumped him.

16. about 2 years ago i emailed Joe about something and we had a nice couple
of exchanges and then he thanked me, yes little ole unknown me for bringing something up that hadn't been covered yet, needless to say i saved those emails and printed them out---swoon.

He's another cookie cutter radio hack spouting right wing bullshit. I think they grow them on a farm in Bumfuck texas.

He's predictable, formula driven and not a very charismatic speaker. Plus he's funny looking - guess they'd have to hide him under a cowboy hat. Oh I forgot they tried that with the last asshole.

Does that tell you all you need to know about him? Every Friday on his radio show Smerconish talks to Glen Beck and tells Beck how wonderful his Tv show was the past week. He constantly praises Glen Beck.

He is paranoid when it comes to people he labels as "Arabs" and anyone who is a Muslim. He thinks all Muslims are terrorists.

He is an attorney so he is more educated than Rush and Hannity and Beck so I have to believe that he has more intelligence than those idiots but it is very hard to find when you listen to him. He comes off as a paranoid nut. He also idolizes Ted Nugent.

Nuff said?
