Boy how the Republicans hounded Clinton over not having an "Exit Strategy" during Kosovo but the very minute they gained the Whitehouse they threw it out the window. Now it almost seems like Obama is reestablishing it. If you have to go in "Use Overwhelming Force", let's see one hundred Al Qaeda, one hundred thousand American forces, "Overwhelming" I would say so. Have a "Well Defined Exit Strategy" Train Afghans until American forces can Exit Safely. That seems pretty well defined to me... What am I missing?

1. What am I missing? The corrupt Afghan police and military are the biggest part of the problem. You c
can not prop up a corrupt illegitimate government long enough to make it legitimate. You are missing that the reason we went in is to build the gas pipeline to India. Do you really believe we will build it only to leave and allow it to be blown up?

2. We we not fighting the 100 Al Qaeda, we are fighting the thousands of Taliban
We are trying to stop the Taliban from retaking Afghanistan. The last time the Taliban were in charge there, they allowed terrorists to run training camps there. Obama doesn't want that to happen again.

4. Because only the US gets to running terrorist training camps
right? I mean, what else do you call the School of the Americas?

3. seems that way to me too.
The fact that there is a strategy defined at all is something new and refreshing. This isn't a surge--it's a responsible way to get us out of military occupation.

Obama and his team are using their brains, not their guts. And the U.N. is on board. This is the opposite of Bush and his gang.

5. The Bush Doctrine...pre-emptive attack in a country that MIGHT pose
a threat in the future.
