The Republicans have never changed their position. This is Democrats bargaining against themselves. What has this bargaining gotten us that can't be taken away tomorrow?

4. With whoever is necessary to pass the bill.

We need 60 votes in the Senate. That means you need Lieberman or Snowe. If they both vote no, the status quo will reign for at least another decade if not two.

Majority rules. Up or down vote.

How is it that when the Republicans threaten "The Nuclear Option", the Democrats fall in line-- and vote for controversial, radical and dangerous judges. But when we have an emergency that needs immediate action, Democrats scratch their heads and cry about filibusters.

We need to put teeth back into healthcare reform, deploy the nuclear option, and get serious about this.
It's not Lieberman or Snowe who are pulling this apart-- it's the Democrats who can't get it together.
