E! Online: Laura HAS moved out; "80-proof suspicions" regarding Chimpolini
OK, it's a gossip column from E! Still, who knows?

===

Just as disgusting, mind you, is the story of domesticated ruinous romance I ran last week. I mean, specifically, the inside dope I've been delivering regarding Laura Bush, First Lady of the U.Es., not exactly residing at the White House right now. Scuttlebutt being—according to prominent and knowledgeable Washington know-it-everythings—Laura moved into the ritzy Hay-Adams hotel, because she couldn't stand Dubya's drinkin' no more. The White House refused comment. Repeatedly. Meaning, I called over. A lot. Most-heard excuse by moi was that everybody had "stepped out," so claimed "Sarah" from "Mrs. Bush's press office," as she identified herself.

I declare. Sarah, as well as the folks over at Mr. Bush's media corral, really do need to come to Hollywood for a quick course in how to best bulls--t during calls from journalists. "I can't reach Mrs. Bush right now," or even a simple, "I'll pass along your message," would have sufficed beautifully. Instead, Laura Bush's silence to my inquiries (yes, the First Lady is entitled to privacy, but hell, if she's checked out of 1600 Pennsylvania due to the leader of the free world's imbibing, that's news) combined with her spokesperson's nervous Nellie uttering, I smell somethin' bad.

Additionally, my trusty and, like, totally connected Desk Dee Cee reports further 80-proof suspicions from Potomacville, regarding whether or not the Prez (who once abstained from alcohol) is drinking again: Desk D.C. is one of those who hang and socialize at the White House. Desk Dee says fellow hangers and members there report that when they gab with G.W.B., "There is definite slurrage...not just the regular word mangling, eliding and grammar screwups when he speaks off the cuff, but real slurring in speeches and interviews."

Could any of this above crap have anything to do with why Bush keeps making hideous state decision after another, and I'm not just talkin' Iraq?

1. I saw that the red splotches had re-appeared on bush's
face, so I can righteously suspect drinking.
However, with how many rooms in the white house?-eighty or something?-Laura would have no problem staying away from him or out of sight if she really wanted to, so I don't believe the other bullshit.

36. It's strange that these separation stories keep popping up, though.
If they would both move out, that would be good news.

2. Well, I need better confirmation to believe it....
But I'm not sure that would stop me from spreading the rumor anyway. I still don't see how they could pull this off without much more gossip, much more evidence. The first Lady has a cumbersome security detail which also has to be housed.

37. Look at his glassy eyes, difficulty focusing, sleepy look, bobbing head.
Also watery and bloodshot eyes. He also gets a very strange and goofy look on his face.

You can tell right away by looking at his pictures whether he s drunk or not. And in the past year he has been very drunk most of he time.

Other signs:

• Sudden or unexplained mood changes.
• Staggering, swaying, or the inability to walk.
• Slurred/slow speech
• Speaking too softly or loudly
• Difficulty with motor skills
• Balance and coordination difficulties (swaying, falling down)

5. I am sure he is on the finest pharmeuticals there is.
There is absolutely no need to drink, and have hangovers, and smell like booze.

He is an addict. He has never quit. He underwent the most transforming media campaign that ever was. They took a poor excuse for a human being, with a wasted Yale education, draft dodging, drunk driving, coke snorting, wife cheating, loser of humongous proportions, and they made him a president.

He was groomed and sculpted by the bfee powers to be the one that finished our nation off. Reagan, Bush I, and Clinton were his predecessors. Each with their own assignment. All to ease us in to what 43 would then floor the pedal.

His wife is just as evil as he is. She is "family". She is married to the mob, so to speak. Do not ever forget how they held hands and walked out onto the stage, Coronation 2004 with their Texas longhorn hand-signs.

Blivit sits several levels above his pay grade. Yet he was cast upon us unwittingly. Assigned the throne, without any representative participation. For six long years they have devastated our federal government. Our military has been privatized. Every regulatory agency is headed by an industry insider, that either is a crony or a "ranger".
The US Justice Department has been politized to the point that no one has any confidence in law and order. Our federal courts have been packed with federalists, Bushies, and Unitary Executive sympathizers.

Man, did I go off on a tangent.

I just could really care where Laura is sleeping. If I had my way, they would all be sleeping on a concrete slab in one of our Supermax Prison. But I digress. Someone ought to ask her what she pays for her haircare in a month.

11. good point (and nice rant :)
there's no need for him to drink per se when he can get a suitable medicated cocktail that permits him to continue to "tell the truth" when asked if he's still not drinking booze.

he may not be drinking, but he's definitely not sober.

my own point, though, is his sobriety is only of so much interest. i couldn't give a rat's ass why he makes the idiotic decisions he makes. he makes idiotic decisions, impeach the whole lot of them; then let the historians and the tell-alls reveal the whys and wherefores.

Edited on Sat Apr-21-07 09:22 AM by HamdenRice
First there is the "they're very boring" video. This was after he was supposed to have stopped.

Then there was a tape of a speech in which he was drunk out of his mind, slurring his words. The official explanation was that he was jet lagged. But that wasn't jet lag, that was drunk.

Here is where you can see the "very boring" drunken video:

If we're talking about the same one, cited on the same page as the one I gave the link for. It was edited by some British talk show to make it sound like Bush was drunk.

But there is some authentic video out there somewhere of him giving a speech in which he is absolutely plastered.

This was posted yesterday in a similar E! thread. I thought it was interesting, in that I never bought into his 'jebus saved me' 'Christian' act. That was pure Rove and straight out of Machiavelli's The Prince. I never read !E and think it is trash, but who knows? There might be some truth here.

What was that line he tried to sell us? The "I came home drunk one night and almost came to blows with dear old dad, so after that I just stopped drinking" story he's peddled since 2000.

I think if he was serious about dealing with any issues of alcoholism or substance abuse, he would admit it publically. But well...he apparently never will.

I always found his weekly gossip columns to be pretty reliable, compared to most. I haven't had time to read his dailies but I'm assuming he's still got a pretty good reputation.

I'm gonna go ahead and believe this. It's not like we have any alternative's in the media to give us the straight story or anything. The mainstream media doesn't cross any lines when it comes to Bush. Though they have no problem asking Obama about his smoking habits, or gossiping about Edwards Haircuts before they even knew the facts, or making Clinton's blowjob the front page news for what, 4 months?
