Liz Cheney accuses Obama of running down USA on foreign soil
Edited on Mon Dec-14-09 11:41 AM by WI_DEM
"But we still had in this speech, you know, it is almost like it has become reflexive, this notion that America abandoned its ideals after 9/11. And I think that as we see this president repeatedly go on foreign soil, and accuse America of having tortured people, talk about Guantanamo Bay as an abandonment of our ideals, you know, that part of the speech to me really is nothing short of shameful. And it is not just an attack on political opponents. It really is casting dispersions and, I would say, slandering the men and women in the CIA who carried out key programs to keep us safe and the people frankly right now at Guantanamo Bay who are guarding some of the worst terrorists. So I think that part of the speech represents something I hope the president will stop soon."

Hey Liz, by almost all measures the world community appraisal of the USA has risen under President Obama as compared to when your dad was running the country.

2. Is that all there is for the Cheney's OIL?
They will kill for it, they will torture for it, but they will not die for it themselves.

8. "casting dispersions"?
Edited on Mon Dec-14-09 12:21 PM by Golden Raisin
I believe the phrase is casting aspersions. But nobody from the Bush admin, starting with the worst offender, Dubya, was too concerned with or capable of speaking proper English. Oh, and Liz? You're an unelected, self-appointed blowhard, who in typical Republican fashion thinks they have cornered the market on patriotism and what it means to be a "real" American. Fuck off.

10. She is relevant I suppose because the Democratic Party has done
little concerning the abuses of power of Mr. Cheney. I'm sick of Americans on TV pretending there isn't anything wrong with our abandonement of our laws and humanity. So DAMN sick of it.

11. Liz Cheney and her family
are nothing short of shameful. For The Dickmonster to give that interview to Politico on the eve of Obama's speech at West Point where he accused Obama of giving aid and comfort to the enemy was despicable and disgusting. It was far worse than any speech Obama has given in trying to rehabilitate the image of America that Cheney and his henchmen shit all over for eight years.

Liz Cheney needs to realize that her daddy had his eight years and now it someone else's turn. The Bush administration was repudiated by the American people last November and it's time for her to face the fact that the neocons aren't calling the shots right now. It's called an ELECTION, Liz. We have those in this country and sometimes the real winners get to take the office they actually won. I know that's a foreign concept to you, what with the Supreme Court and people like Ken Blackwell, but this time your pa and his cabal couldn't deprive the true winner of the office.
Maybe it's best if you and your dad take some time off. Go quail hunting. Just stay well behind him...

:grr:
