Now they're just laughing at us behind our backs.
Once again the Democratic party is playing us, playing liberals and progressives for suckers. Yesterday after the big meeting up at the White House, Durbin essentially stated that he doesn't think that there wouldn't be any repercussions for passing this travesty of health care "reform". He doesn't think that liberal members of the party would vote against it, with the implication that he thinks that the party will retain the liberal base (in other words back to the old bully boy schtick "who else ya gonna vote for, the Republicans har dee har har).

I think that it is past time to show the Democratic party that there are consequences for their actions.

1. Sadly, I don't think most elected Democrats care.
I think they prefer to be the minority in Congress. That way they're not responsible for enabling corporate-controlled government. They can blame the Republicans for it.

2. I am afraid that most of these elected officials
live in a bubble that is so vast, so out of touch, that they have no clue as to what is happening outside DC.

They have limos to take them to meetings and bodyguards and someone to wipe their arse and press their armani suits. They have no clue as to what it is like out here, where boarded up businesses in small towns get larger, people line up for little food left in local shelters, working people try to eke out a living every day being paid almost nothing at crappy min. wage jobs, watch their parents and kids go hungry..

well, they dont care because they have theirs.

storm the bastille.

3. The old adage "Money talks" is alive and well
We're hearing it talk through our Democratic representatives. What we are witnessing is the blatant corruption that permeates our government. It's something we need to understand. Our government is CORRUPT. We will be hurt again and again until we understand that. The Truth is very hard to accept, but as long as we don't accept the facts that are staring us in the face, we will continue to be victimized by them.
