Poll question: Does this meet "all of your criteria"??
Edited on Wed Dec-16-09 11:01 AM by MNDemNY
No "public Option", not even a weak opt out, triggered one.

No end to annual caps.

No end to the industry's anti-trust exemption

No negotiating with pharma for better prices

No expansion of medicare.

Kids being removed from SCHIP

No real limits on Industry profits

NO re importation of drugs...Not even from Canada

Mandated purchase of overpriced lousy coverage.

No real limits on premium increases.

Yes, they must sell you coverage with pre-existing conditions, but at a much higher price. Pretty much anything they want.

1. Ok, I get the vote for "Muskrat" but the "Yes" vote is puzzling.

3. How can anyone remove children from SCHIP?
I thought it was funded by tobacco taxes.

4. Haven't had the chance to read it
But I wonder if it pertains to children qualifying for SCHIPS in addition to other insurance?

We have family coverage through my employer but we also qualify (barely) for my daughter to be on SCHIPS so SCHIPS has been picking up where the employer coverage leaves off and also provided some much needed dental coverage since what my employer offers as a "dental plan" is a worthless hunk of shit that I refused to buy into.

Having the extra coverage for her has been a godsend and I sincerely hope she doesn't get booted off under the new bill.
