What is AMAZING about Dems ARE the......
KILL THIS BILL crap....I am going to join the Teabaggers my damn self. Look, if we did not like the way things are turning out, WHY THE HELL have we not Marched on Washington to so IN MASS what we really want.

The Teabaggers did, staged or not....you have to give them credit on their effort. Instead, we go on DK, DU, HP and any other so called "Progressive" blog/website and complain to others, ON THE FREAKING INTERNET.

If we want to know why we have a WATER DOWNED BILL, we need to start with blaming ourselves. OH, I forgot, we thought our job was over on November 7, 2008, when Obama was elected!

So, we think the issue was done and we were going to be HANDED everything we wanted by just electing Obama, thus, we sat on our computers, kicked hand claps to each other over the internet and waited, and waited, blogged some more, got a little upset, got pissed off, then just plain, "TOSS OBAMA OUT OF OFFICE IN 2012", "KILL THE BILL" crap.

Meanwhile, the GOP/Teabagger crowd, fresh off the hands of a massive defeat on November 7, 2008, got together on the internet too. What they did different? They organized, they set up "home parties" to plan their next strategies, they started blogging about the Change that was going to come and how it would Kill Old People, they Marched on Washington, again, again and again....until they got almost everything they wanted....to completely tear down Obama within the first year. For that instance....they are the original group of the slogan "KILL THE BILL". We are following the Teabaggers now? WTF?

This is what the Democrats (my party) has come to in one freaking year. Ashame!!!

I am ready for the sure to come unrecs and flaming. The truth hurts!

*NO public option
*NO expansion of Medicare coverage
*NO cost controls
*NO re-importation of drugs
*NO negotiating for lower drug prices
*Capped coverage for expensive care
*Mandatory purchasing of private insurance
*Continued anti-trust law exemption

3. Yes, it does help.
You're choosing to mince words, instead of helping your fellow citizens.

Something tells me that the status quo suits you just fine, personally.

5. So forcing people to buy...

...a defective product, from the very thieving bastards who caused this, is now a law to support?

Wow.
I'll pass thank you.

Krugman lost me on this one.

6. You have yet to inform yourself about the product.
Until you do, how about refraining from judgment.

Krugman lost you because you want a perfect system or nothing. He wants to make the system better, if he can. I'm with him. I won't let perfectionism screw over my fellow citizens.

9. The Teabaggers were organized by Dick Armey via FAUX News

Not the internet.

Look up "Astroturfing".

11. OK, but they have kept this up
They have organized on the internet, they have Protested on Washington, they have shaped this debate.....like it or not.

These are things we could have done. Like Ed Schulz for instance. All of the shouting over this issue he has done over the pass six months, he could have organized a March on Washington to PASS THE BILL with DK, HF, DU, Progressive Radio (he was on it right), Move On.org, FDL and any other Progressive Grassroot Movement, Blog or Website.

Instead...........we sat on our hands and expected.........MAGIC. Now we are eating our own and taking "KILL THE BILL" from Teabaggers.

10. Another way to look at this is that "dinner table" issues are what count
Yes, many here are upset about Afghanistan while, in reality, as long as we don't have the draft, the war is not up close and personal for most Americans. Yes, it cost a lot and it affects other programs, but they are too far and esoteric.

But having "my doctor" and "my insurance" and "don't get the government in my Medicare" is what resonates with many voters.

Even the jobs and unemployment compensation and COBRA - if the rate is 10% this means that 90% still have jobs. Right?

This is what we always miss. We - Dukakis, Gore, Kerry - often think in global terms, lofty ideas, while they talk about "killing babies" and "saving marriage." Topics that closely resonates with many voters.

This is how Clinton and Obama won - the economy was tanking and since it happened under a Bush - we won.
