Congressional Democrats are No Less Spineful Than Republicans, They're Worse

We might see a pattern here. The S&L crisis and this mess are basically evidence of a routine looting of the treasury and the extortion of tax dollars for the corporate owners of the American Government. In situations like this seeding the consumer base would be the thing to do, not the trickle down theory, they know this is the right thing to do but that is not what they (power brokers in Congress and Exec. Branch) are interested in. That would be sensible and means earning their profits from the bottom up. They can't have that. It's Lootin' time! They benefit at every turn. They lied and cheated themselves into trillions and then broke the system--the government steps in and changes their diapers AND gives them their Lootin' bonus! Mission accomplished.

The parties reflect a difference at their base but at the top the goal is much more unified. Rape the American people and play the left against the right. The shmucks (you and me) suck it up and blame "spineless" Democrats and "evil" Republicans. Those "spineless" Democrats are The Washington Generals. They can cry 'look we're trying to help you but those damn Republicans..." The plan is serving its purpose. This is no "both parties are the same" rant. They are different in inverse proportion to their true power capacity. At the bottom social issues reign and this is where the voting public is manipulated. At the top there are still fundamental social differences but the real power uses both sides to their advantage.

The Democrats are no less spineful than Republicans they're worse - they're bought and paid for. Look at where the money goes. Look at Bachus, look at the Blue Dogs. Republicans are assholes and they are proud of it. Democrats are infested with scum that sell out what was once their principals of Liberalism and Progressivism for cash.

We need to create a mechanism of retaliation beyond the vote!
