Why the Senate Should Vote Yes on Health Care

By JOE BIDEN
Published: December 19, 2009

"If the bill passes the Senate this week, there will be more chances to make changes to it before it becomes law. But if the bill dies this week, there is no second chance to vote yes. What those who care about health insurance reform need to realize is that unless we get 60 votes now, there will be no health care reform at all. Not this year, not in this Congress -- and maybe not for another generation."

-- Vice President Joe Biden, writing for the New York Times on health care reform.

1. so let's pass a really crappy bill with mandates?
That is the same thinking that got us the unPATRIOTic Act and the MCA and the rest of that garbage.

No, I must respectfully disagree with Mr. Biden.

4. Joe Biden needs to go back and fix his disastrous...
bankruptcy bill. He aided and abetted the corporations in his own state--to the absolute detriment of those people attempting to make a fresh start.

His bill keeps them from fresh starts.

8. Biden, Obama, and all the families of the rich/powerful should be forced to adopt this plan
for their own. If it's good enough for the useless eaters they exploit, it ought to be good enough for the princes and princesses of White House-Capital Hill-Wall Street.
