Um, huh??
This tidbit snipped from a LTTE in today's paper:

". . . Our country was built on the principles of Christ. Not that we are commanded to all worship the same, but without God we do not even have the breath we breathe.

Recently, there has been a lot of people concerned that we taxpayers did not approve the tax bill.

Without Christmas, the vacation is just days off; days that our children could be taught. Also, the children at our school are dismissed each Monday at 2 p.m. If you add this up for a month, that is a full day that our teachers and kids are not in school."

No, I have no idea.

3. That vaguely reminds me of the outraged one about how daylight savings time literally
made our days shorter. (Or something like that, iirc)

The editors had to be laughing their butts off when they chose to put that one you mentioned in the paper.

5. There is no limit to the stupidity of folks out there. Plugged into their tee-vees,
likely don't read a thing.

6. Live in a rural conservative town...
fundie letters, like the example above, hit our local paper all the time. They all must have been homeschooled by cretins.

7. Why was this even published?
I, too, have no idea what this guy is blathering on about.

Kids shouldn't have Christmas vacation because they miss school but God lets us all breathe and we don't like taxes. Upon a re-read, I think I've got it.
