Currently flying from Seattle - NYC
No bathroom lockdowns or empty lap requirements. Airport checks were about the usual.

11. It's scary
how people have been trained to so easily accept yet another security protocol, and a particularly nonsensical one at that, while at the same time acknowledging that all previous efforts along the same lines are ineffective.

5. Today it's partyl cloudy in NYC but tomorrow there's supposed to be rain
So you shouldn't have any delays but if you have a stop-over at O'Hare in Chicago it's snowing lightly and could get worse.

When do they have bathroom lockdowns?

8. Napolitano said it would be different all over
"These measures are designed to be unpredictable, so passengers should not expect to see the same thing everywhere."

9. Ah, random jackbooted thuggery!
So the vast majority of the American people can tell themselves, "Well, they won't take the book out of MY lap," and won't bother making a stink about measures that profile innocuous behavior rather than not-so-innocuous persons.

10. My ex and son just arrived in Heathrow. They were not patted down prior
to boarding nor were there "one hour" restix.

They were flying out os US; maybe that makes a difference?
