The Last Slaves of Mississippi

I read this article in the MD office a few weeks ago and bristled. It is amazing if you have time to read it.
It just shows that we have got a long way to go.

8. Stuff like that still happens..just with "imported girls" from Asia

Every few months, there's an article in the news about a bust on a house where women are being held as slaves.. These young women are brought here to get "jobs", and once they get here, they are undocumented, fearful of being caught & sent back, and they are told that they "owe" tremendous sums of money for their "passage"..

People with some power over others, can do dispicable things.. I don't understand why, but they do.:cry:

One of the Republican congresscritters' favorite hangouts. Lot's of teens forced into prostitution there.
