fox news and politico seem to be the sources cheney trusts

Dick Cheney: Barack Obama 'trying to pretend'

Former Vice President Dick Cheney accused President Barack Obama on Tuesday of “trying to pretend we are not at war” with terrorists, pointing to the White House response to the attempted sky bombing as reflecting a pattern that includes banishing the term “war on terror” and attempting to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center.

e are at war and when President Obama pretends we aren’t, it makes us less safe,” Cheney said in a statement to POLITICO. “Why doesn’t he want to admit we’re at war? It doesn’t fit with the view of the world he brought with him to the Oval Office. It doesn’t fit with what seems to be the goal of his presidency — social transformation — the restructuring of American society.”

Cheney was joining a chorus of Republicans who have criticized Obama following the Christmas Day attack, in which a Nigerian suspect is accused of trying to blow up a loaded airliner with a bomb stitched into his underwear.

A senior Democrat said in response: “It’s telling that in attacking the president and the administration, that Vice President Cheney did not condemn the attack against our nation on Christmas Day.”

Foreshadowing the party’s strategy for next year’s midterm congressional elections, GOP officeholders have eschewed the customary partisan restraint following a terrorist incident and baldly portrayed Democrats as weak on security.

5. I seem to remember reading something last year
that said the office Darth Cheney set up for himself upon leaving the office of VP, was in the same building as Politico.

Draw whatever conclusions you want to from that, but I don't see how it could be positive.

8.  Cheney would go through friendly channels to get his BS out
and then other papers would pick it up and then it spreads...

Put that piece of shit behind bars and let him be interviewed while wearing orange.

10. i keep wondering how it is that in a nation with 310 million people, none
Of us has a silver stake!

Of course, I imagine the coffin that holds Cheney during day light hours, probably has several guards posted as well.

12. Little more than when they were used by Obama campaign during primaries
Only that Politico deals in pushing planted stories and other self-serving agendas (are there any other kinds). The price is right, they try to please, but it's not a pretty sight. Why do I keep having images of Lewis Black in a little dress, with a wig and too much makeup? Now I remember.

Sort of like the cases where the Obama campaign has admitted to being the source of stories against other primary candidates.

Politico works closely with the RW, but also with others within the Beltway Establishment. A bit like Drudge without as much tarnish.
