Maybe I'm a bad person... I have no good wishes for Mr. Limbaugh

After all...

many of the right-wingers have been praying for Obama to die, praying for a terrorist strike on America, praying for unemployment to go to 20%, praying for anything bad they can think of that would damage the country - just so they can get back in the good graces of the American voter.... not by actually doing anything GOOD, but by having the Democrats and Obama preside over such bad things that the GOP looks better in comparison.


Limbaugh has been working against everything that is good in the country and has been the front man for some very evil people and very evil ideas.


He has sowed division in this country and led the way as many on the right have prayed and wished for bad things to happen to our President and to our country.


The past 20 years have been the most polarized this country has been since before the 20th century. And Limbaugh may be the biggest reason why. His crusade against Bill Clinton started this partisan back-and-forth that has led us to a place where the opposition party votes in unison against every single proposal the President makes.


So... fuck him.


He has directly and indirectly caused millions pain and suffering through the use of his "bully pulpit".


As an atheist, praying is a concept that is too silly for me to contemplate.

If I thought a "death bed conversion" were possible for his dark heart, I'd think differently. If I thought his recovery from this would cause him to realize what a prick he's been his whole life and that he would turn over a new leaf, I'd wish him well.

But his brief bout with deafness didn't change him one iota. It didn't make him more compassionate for the less-fortunate. So I doubt this will change him either.


So I won't mourn one bit if the fucker dies. And if the fates have deemed it his time to die, part of me hopes his stated Christian belief in a heaven and hell is a reality... because he'll burn.

He's an entertainer, a useful corporate pawn.

If he said what he actually thought, he'd lose everything.

Rush has not been doing this for 20 years simply for the money. Its obviously a huge part of it, but I think he truly believes the crap he says. You cannot repeat the same talking points for years and not expect it to actually effect your political ideology. This idea that he is some sort of genius entertainer who has just been doing this to make money is ridiculous. Listen to any clip of his show and it is obvious from the smugness in his voice that he thinks hes the shit.

It's clear that his hatred has an impact on his audience. If he doesn't even believe what he is saying, he's WORSE than the suckers who believe his shit.

He has no real friends, the people who work closely with him do not respect or like him and he cannot sustain a long-term relationship with another human being.

He does have a cat...but he's on record complaining that even she only approaches him when she wants feeding.

So he's doing it for the money. Too bad the money is incapable of reciprocating.

He's a waste of a perfectly good human life

Nor have I ever seen any indication that the vile bullshit he spews daily comes from anywhere but his own reptilian brain.

If he's so smart, he should realize the damage he's done to the U.S. and the world in general. He's made the world a much crappier place.

I weep for brother Rush who was forced to choose between a yacht and humanity.

I want him to live a long full life drooling in a wheelchair, completely alert yet unable to communicate.....Due to the (mebbe) infarction he might be having....

But, hey, I'm the asshole who laughed all the way across the US while driving my mother in law's ashes to the west coast.

I'm sure he danced on the grave of Edward Kennedy who was a 1000 times the man Rush will ever be so I wish Rush only the worst.

I'd rather see him live to choke on his own words and see it all come back to haunt him. In a way, maybe I'm worse because I want to see him live to see how he wasted his own life and those of others and be tortured by it.

The only tears I will shed will be tears of joy, I admit it.

While I'm touched by the kindness of those trying to wish him well, I'm not that kind, myself. And I don't feel the least bit guilty about it. :thumbsup:

I used to listen to his show. He was an asshole then, and the drug arrest and divorces and Viagra bust ain't changed him, then this won't either. SO, no tears, no prayers, no love. FIRE AWAY.

Party line voting has been going on well before RL was ever on the air waves and even before he was born.

You have given him credit for way more power/influence than he has ever achieved. He is just not that powerful.

Oppose RLs position all you want. Have fun. it appears to be a target rich environment, but, there is no one individual responsible or mostly responsible for "opposition party votes in unison". It is the nature of the political beast.
