Man Uses Business Van To Rob Bank, Police Say
Wife Calls Police To Turn In Husband

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police have arrested a business owner who they said used a company van to commit a crime.

Prosecutors said Mark McAvinew was seen in a surveillance video stealing more than $3,000 from the Metcalf Bank branch on Wornall Road on Tuesday morning.

Court documents said that McAvinew walked up to a bank employee and told her to give him $50 and 4100 bills. Police said he was then seen walking toward a white van, which had his heating and cooling company's logo on it.

McAvinew was arrested when his wife called police. He was also identified by his business partner.
