... isn't it kind of odd that the dick would be impelled to crawl out to call Obama a "radical," and try to paint him as this far-left lefty....???

See, in my estimation, the dick is perhaps engaging in a form of Damage Control by helping to paint a false picture in the public mind of a corporatist admin actually being a "liberal" one (within the popular, M$M based context of the term)

Liberal is a bad word. But the context here is all wrong. Cheney is trying to keep the WOT alive because that's the last thing anyone favors him for. It is his last straw, take that away and he becomes nothing more than ripe manure.

You seem to be saying Cheney is protecting Obama in order to let empire continue? I could see deep politics causing that, but I still think Cheney is just really scared.
