I'm a radical pro-choicer...
I believe that, outside of saying that licensed medical practitioners should actually do it, there should be no laws regarding abortion. It should be treated like ANY OTHER medical procedure. To be frank, for every law or regulation that restricts abortion in ANY way, shape, or form, at least ONE living, breathing woman will die as a result of that law, a death that could have been prevented. To be honest, I don't CARE for the arguments from the other side, from the anti-choicers, or the pro-choice "with limits" or any other bullshit. Let's just cut to the chase, the life of the WOMEN affected is paramount, period, all the other shit is just moralistic claptrap. I frankly don't give a shit about the "other side" of this argument.

1. What's Radical About That?
Leaving the practice of medicine to doctors? Letting the individual involved make her own decision? If that's radical, we're fucked.

We're fucked, aren't we.

2. I'm a "radical pro-choicer" because...

It's a medical procedure between a doctor and their patient. It's no one else's business. Period, end of argument.

And I agree with the moralistic claptrap statement above 100%.

3. Count me in
I've always been pro-choice, but when my daughter became pregnant and I knew I had to rely on a Catholic hospital in the event of an emergency, well it puts it all in crystal clear perspective. Outside of drunken malpractice, doctors should never have to worry about criminal law when practicing medicine and women should never have to worry that they won't receive the medical care they need because of a doctor's anxiety.

4. M.D. and Criminal Law
Sad to say, MD these days all too often have to worry about breaking some assnine law. If it's not abortion, then it's prescribing "drugs" that the DEA doesn't "think" a patient needs, or even going to jail for prescribing too much of any one class of drug.

5. No, not true at all
It's not difficult to figure out which doctor in town the druggies are going to, it's always been obvious. There isn't a rash of doctors being arrested for writing prescriptions. That sounds like a drug war argument to me, in which case you would do well to keep it out of the abortion issue. They are two completely different things.
