Reid should go on the air after the Bush and say one thing
If the President refuses to budge from his position then we may simply not send him a supplemental at all. We are willing to fund this year, but the American people want to get our troops out of Iraq.

1. I think so too. They need to say, take it or leave it, because there isn't going to be another one.

2. That's EXACTLY what the Neoncons want
Threatening to send NO bill at all just gives the RW media and the babbling heads more reason to pile on Reid and the Democrats.

Let the Republics act like spoilt children. We don't NEED to.

7. Just watch what Reid is doing
He's not getting into the childish maneuvers that the Republics use.

9. Absolutely correct. We have won the true conservatives, but it could be temporary.
The old guard of the right has abandoned Bush and are unhappy with the neocons.

However, if we do not fund the military in Iraq, we will lose it all.

3. I think he should underline the insult to Congress and the American People
President Bush is showing a lack of respect for the wishes of the people; he is showing a lack of respect for how the American government is supposed to work.

6. He should, but he won't
Reid is a professional politician and he doesn't have the votes to over-ride a veto. Consequently, he's worried that painting the party with "dems don't support the troops" could damage future campaigns.

I'm not saying that's wrong or right rather that that is just the way it is. But I do wonder what the Germany's christian democrats were thinking in 1932. Do you suppose they were looking to elections in a time after Hitler?

8. Reid is Nailing Bush's ASS with the TRUTH!! The president is out of touch
The president is in denial.
The president is detached from reality.
The president is not listening to his generals, the public, the congress.
The president is using 'cowboy diplomacy'.
The president is a complete diplomatic failure.
The war in iraq is not winnable using just military might.
The war is winnable politically, diplomatically, and economically.
