5. I didn't hear a NO. I heard him talk about how no one has announced yet who is going to run for
Dorgan's seat.

3. I think he left the door open a little bit.

although I think he's way to liberal for N Dakota.

7. He DID leave the door open a bit.
As to his being way too liberal...maybe not so much. North Dakota actually has a somewhat progressive history. The wheat farmers took on the grain trust in the '20's, for example. And the state does manage to continue to elect a number of Democrats. Essentially a red state, though ( I say that sadly as a member of a family that was both North Dakotan and Democratic for several generations). Perhaps the biggest factor against electing another Democrat to Dorgan's seat might be the current economic good fortune of the state. Unlike most of the US, the NDAK economy is in terrific shape (new oil discoveries, among other things) so the prosperity may push everybody farther to the right. Eh, what do I know... But I agree that Ed, at this point, is a long shot.
Not that I wouldn't love to see him in the Senate.

6. he makes a HELL of a lot more money now & can say whatever he likes
He would be forced to "play nice' in the senate and would make very little for his trouble..

8. I agree. Moving to the Senate would, likely, silence one of the best voices we have
I want him right where he is where his message gets out on the radio and television every day.

9. Can you see him saying:
"My distinguished friend across the aisle, Senator Inhofe"?
