I want to know:

1) how much he is paid

and

2) why he stupidly parked his little boat in the path of a huge ocean liner

Rules of the "road" are very clear on the ocean. You don't park in front of a ship that takes the lengths of football fields to turn a few degrees.

Also, reference the web site; he claims the Japanese ship suddenly started up and hit them.... how do you suddenly start up an ocean vessel?

Bob Barker is not a vegetarian and has never claimed to be. Vegetarians and animal activists are two different things, sometimes they over-lap but you don't have to be one to be the other, duh.

From a seamanship view, its quite clear primary blame lies with the master of the Ady Gil. He was the one playing chicken.

From a showmanship side, Watson is as good as they come and his PR machine is well oiled. Some of the silliness already making the rounds is awesome, if it wasn't so dumb. Its great street theater, bread and circuses for the contributing masses.

In the end it really will not matter. Using the AG in those latitudes in that manner was a setup. It was not going to survive the season regardless.

leading to publicity. It is standard OP (or MO) for the group. It doesn't really mater in the end who is at fault, they will use the publicity to their advantage. People who agree will think it is great, those who disagree will say it was a dangerous prank, and people who had no idea the group existed might be exposed to it's message.

Of course they run the risk of backfire as the newly exposed public sides against them and by default against every other anti-whaling group regardless of their activities. But let us not dwell upon the facts where so much spin is to be had.

I would tune in for that.
