Tax on higher income salaries, I'm hoping, has a chance. Obama is supporting the tax on benefits but he is being called out by Pelosi and the unions. I believe they have some chance of winning as they have successfully laid the tax on benefits at the President's feet and the charade that this all the mean old Senate's fault is over.
Anti trust, I have no idea but it is being highligted by progressive groups such as the California Nurse's Association.
One thing that is not in the House bill which is in the Senate that needs defeating is the ability of employers to charge their employees higher rates for their coverage if they don't participate in and meet certain targets in 'wellness' programs. This is made possible by a last minute executive order by Bush which allows employers access to your personal health information. It's a huge hit on privacy rights and should have been reversed immediately by a Democratic president. Instead, it stands and is being used to give employers the ability to target employees and punish them for not meeting arbitrary goals which may or may not affect their actual health care costs.
