They accused us of hypocrisy & racism - proving that they didn't 'get' it; our complaints were due to their performance, not their race. Once again, they've proven that they don't 'get' it - once, by putting Michael Steele in charge of the RNC as a misguided effort to 'reach out' to African Americans (thinking that Steele's use of urban slang was all it would take to win voters) and twice, by kicking Steele to the curb (in a very public, humiliating fashion) when he didn't achieve the piggies' goals. Altogether, I'd estimate that GOOPers have lost ground in their Quixotic quest for African American voters - making yet another instance where they just don't 'get' it.

Now they are pissed at the black guy.

I've been reading a few posts on FR on Jews and didn't post them here, but DAMN! These people are fucking sick in their opinions on these subjects, yet they project that racism and anti-semitism on the left all the time. It's time to call the right out on it. Fuck them.

He said on ABC radio, I think, that if the GOP didn't like it, "fire me" and, until then, get out of the way and shut up.

And he lied by saying he'd written his book before he was RNC chair. Even though the book is almost totally about events that happened this year.

And the GOP leadership had a conference call with the RNC telling them to shut Steele up because he was hurting them. One aide called him a "fool" and another complained that he was "setting us back with his comments"

And he had to cancel an appearance on ABC because of an alleged emergency meeting at the RNC--a meeting the RNC spokesperson said was not happening.

And on and on.

GOP style! It is the only thing they could do, get rid of the "Black" guy and keep the crazy lady from Alaska that can draw up a crowd of racist Teabaggers to listen to her anytime. :eyes:

RNC has a scheduled winter meeting in Hawaii on January 25. They have a ton of stuff to hammer out between the rounds of golf and umbrella drinks.

It seems incredible that the Republicans haven't figured this out yet, but there's no evidence that they have caught on so far.

Now he is telling them to fire him if they don't like it. Gutsy move, and doomed to failure.

They know their base doesn't pay attention to anything he says. Rush is their real leader. Nobody listens to the (n-word) except for other (n-word)'s.

I think they'll wait until the worst possible minute to get rid of him, and then there'll be some sort of controversy when they do that will exacerbate everything.
