10. I think that
Senator Kennedy ranks among the great leaders from the US Senate. And it is pretty easy to tell when he feels strongly about an issue. I enjoy watching him question people during Senate hearings, when he has a little grin tugging at the sides of his face. Oh, he is good! But I love watching him when he is a little bit angry.

Cheney wrong to say Democrats mislead on Iraq
April 25, 2007 6:00 AM
Editor's note: The following are Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's remarks as prepared for delivery Tuesday in response to Vice President Dick Cheney's comment that Democrats believe "blind opposition to the new strategy in Iraq is good politics."

Mr. President, just a few minutes ago, Vice President Cheney attacked the Senate majority leader on Iraq. He accused him of making "uninformed and misleading" statements, of defeatism, and of playing politics with the war.

Sen. (Harry) Reid's interest is in protecting our troops and our national security and in bringing the war to an end. He is rightly responding to the American people by demanding a change in our failed policy in Iraq. He is right to insist that the Iraqis take responsibility for their own security and their own future and that our troops need to begin to withdraw from Iraq.

It is Vice President Cheney who has been wrong — and deadly wrong — about Iraq.

Even more, Vice President Cheney is the last person in the administration who should accuse anyone of making uninformed and misleading statements.

Vice President speaks out on Iraq By ANNE FLAHERTY, Associated Press Writer
1 minute ago

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney accused Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (news, bio, voting record) on Tuesday of pursuing a defeatest strategy in Iraq to win votes in the next election — a charge Reid said did not warrant a response.

The two sparred hours after President Bush said he will veto the latest war spending bill taking shape in Congress, which includes a timetable for withdrawing from Iraq.

Cheney, after attending the weekly Republican policy lunch on Capitol Hill, lashed out at Reid. "Some Democratic leaders seem to believe that blind opposition to the new strategy in Iraq is good politics," Cheney said. "Sen. Reid himself has said that the war in Iraq will bring his party more seats in the next election.

"It is cynical to declare that the war is lost because you believe it gives you political advantage," Cheney said.

Reid, D-Nev., dismissed Cheney's remarks later to reporters, but not before getting in his own dig at the vice president.

"I'm not going to get into a name calling match with the administration's chief attack dog," Reid said.

8. So Cheney ADMITS the war is a vote loser?
Really, Dick, if your little war is such a life and death struggle for the western world as we know it, then why is it so unpopular, hmmm?

These cretins have nothing left. They've even abandoned any sense of logic.
