The deaths of 3,332+ Americans in Iraq are "arbitrary."

Many Democrats and a few Republicans now believe that American troops should no longer die in the middle of the civil war in Iraq. They believe 3,332+ dead Americans is enough.

But others believe the deaths of 3,332+ Americans are not cause for concern. They believe that any timeline for removing Americans from harm's way is "arbitrary."

So, we must ask ourselves, how many Americans have to die before they become something more than, or better than, or more significant than, "arbitrary." When do the deaths of Americans become relevant to the question of withdrawal?

I'm thinking that the less time they spend in Iraq, the less likely they will be killed in Iraq.
