Hang Rachel Maddow on your wall!

(fill in name of wingnut) calls a press conference calling for the investigation/defunding of the American Library Association for their use of gays as role models for the young. While we'll be trying to hang her on a wall, the Rethugs will try simply to hang her.

But seriously, folks, I have a new gay co-worker who reminds me of Rachel a lot. Maybe it's because he mentions his partner on occasion. Maybe it's because he's lived in many different places. But I think it's because he projects so much self-confidence and peace with himself, you can't help but wonder what's supposed to be so terrible about them. I've assured myself that if I were gay, I'd be an "out" one, if only because I'd literally wear out from the strain of living such a lie. Sure, Ellen DeGeneres has done makeup commercials, but endorsing reading and education elevates gay acceptance to an exciting new level!
