The final polls are probably being conducted some time today.

2. Honestly, I think most of the polls will show a narrow Brown lead

Her own internals reportedly have her down. The problem is that "Likely Voter" models indicate that Republican and right-leaning independent turnout is VERY high, and that's pushing Brown's numbers up.

Coakley CAN win, but it's going to require enormous turnout - Democrats need to turn out in rough proportion to what they did in a presidential race.

5. Polls will mean nothing. They have no idea who will go and vote.

PPP is supposed to come out tomorrow night. I imagine there will be at least one more.

But when you look at the internals, you will see polls all touch different voters, and, dependent on whom they interview, differences will appear.

8. I'd love to know what the phone banking people are giving the campaign as feedback.
When I phone banked for Ned Lamont in 06 I regularly updated the staff at HQ in New Haven what I was hearing. I knew it wasn't good (this was in the general not the primary campaign altho I called then also). I heard it in peoples' voices and what they revealed to me in my short moments with them on the phone.

If you have a really good ear as a phone banker you can pick up a certain drift...
