Please help Haiti without helping George W Bush
"One of the things that the President and I will do is to make sure your money is spent wisely."

That's what previously low-lying war criminal turned distinguished humanitarian George W. Bush had to say yesterday.

Are you kidding me?

People are supposed to give money to George W Bush that he will use to help Haiti as he sees fit. And by doing this, we can also help Bush rescue his tarnished reputation?

Well thanks anyway, but I think I’ll give to organizations delivering help to Haiti without sending it first to Bush, if that's okay.

In fact, I would like to urge everyone to give generously to help the people of Haiti, and to do it by giving money to legitimate humanitarian organizations that don't have war criminals as co-chairs.

Thanks.

- B

I want people to give generously to Haiti, and I want them to consider doing it without helping to rescue the reputation of George W Bush.

6. Limbaugh didn't want people donating to the white house site to boost Obama.

7. Oh my....
No attempt to mislead there, no sirree!

Gosh, you have a very strange habit of forgetting Clinton in all this. To intimate bush will be the "decider" as to how the money raised will be distributed is to be deliberately misleading.

I despise bush every bit as much as you do but if he can, along with Clinton, raise funds for Haiti I say go ahead.

12. I'm not forgetting Clinton
I'm ignoring him. I have grave suspicions about his apparent long-term commitment to helping George W Bush rebuild his reputation, but those aren't central to the issue here.

I prefer multi-tasking and looking at the larger picture but, hey, that's just me. Continue to obsess by all means.

8. That is very unfair to President Clinton.
He helped with the tsunami aid and I'm sure that he will see to it that the money for Haiti is also used well. Hatred can poke sticks in your eyes, the President asked the two former presidents for help with this and they said yes. It's the American way.

9. War crimes are not the American way
I think people should help Haiti by giving to legitimate organizations not co-chaired by a war criminal.

22. I don't think Clinton is illegitimate
I don't like his pal George W, but Clinton has real credentials regarding Haiti and a UN role. My problem is his partner.

Someone mentioned they are giving money to Haiti through the Clinton Foundation. It's not how I choose to donate, but I don't question that this is a perfectly legitimate way of contributing.

14. Before, I knew bush would be involved me ...
and my family had already made our decision where to send money and it wasn't going to be with this foundation. Bush just let me know I made the right decision.

I am watching now as they all ask for the money how many rightwingers and rich bitches are planning on who will make and by the concrete and other materials for buildings and how they will divide up the land and put their bullshit organizations on their so I am just watching and waiting to see who will jump out of their bag next.

I knew something was up when they started criticizing wyclef that people must have been donating to much money to his organization so that is where my money will be going after I check out some more..

23. I had already decided to donate to Catholic Relief Services
They have been in the country for a long time and most Haitians are Catholic.

When bush, jr said that he would see that the money was spent wisely, I had visions of blackwater rolling in with AK 47's at the ready.
