Listen Soledad
You and your friends have no say in what will be done for those children in Haiti. Who the fuck are you to suggest that the children should be sent out of Haiti. Leave the Haitian children - stop facilitating the capture of Haitian children. Fuck you Soledad. Your arrogance is breath-taking. :puke:

1. She did seemed a little unhinged
Perhaps trying to make her the story much like Anderson Cooper did in New Orleans.

2. With her BS about the Cuban model
which destroyed so many families and kids - who the hell are catholic charities to decide what's better for people's children. Let the nuns and priests go and produce their own fugging kids. They disgust me - they know what's best for brown and black people. :puke:

3. CNN anchors like to emote and act as if they're the only ones who care
Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 05:31 PM by lunatica
And Larry King likes to brag about how great CNN is when disasters happen. The stories have more than a little self congratulatory slant. Gupta and his crew did something fine not to abandon patients, but CNN keeps making it the story about Gupta being a hero without even bothering to acknowledge the crew that stayed with him or keeping to the reason they're there which is the real story.

5. I would hope that family members/relatives should be sought out. Where are
the portable hospitals and such? Treat them in country and work on solutions in country, for their benefit. Taking them away from their own culture would result in further traumatizing, I would think. Maybe I'm missing something.
